Jana Svecova is one of the strongest female boulderers today, with several first ascents at V14–V15 levels and a serious project at V16. Her climbing combines technical precision, endurance, and powerful sequences, and her achievements are helping to push the limits in high-grade outdoor bouldering.
Her work on Nova is especially notable because it’s directly linked to Terranova. By completing Nova, she’s effectively climbing part of one of the hardest boulders in the world, and that marks her as one of the very few women operating at V15/16 scale.
We have spent a few days together climbing and shooting in Ticino, Switzerland.
